After Muhammad Ali knocks down the great Sonny Liston, he flexes over him proving his strength and skill, he has done the impossible.Muhammed is strong, fearless, and motivated to do great, these are key elements to overcome difficult tasks. The black and white colorway portrays a simple message that the steps needed to be taken to achieve success are not all that complicated. Essentially, we need to learn to overcome failure and we need to learn how to keep ourselves motivated to never give up. We need to put on our boxing gloves and fight our fears. Franklin’s words, “the doors of wisdom” are not “always open.” There is a reason that we do not live underwater. There is a reason that we attend school and read. There is a reason why we need to stay active and eat healthy. All of these examples are examples of health, survival, and physical possibility. For example, we cannot live underwater because it is physically not possible for a human being to breathe underwater on his or her own. A human being needs an oxygen tank or some type of air bubble or air pocket in order to breathe underwater, that is the way our anatomy is designed. We may train ourselves to swim underwater for long periods of time but not permanently, this tells us that “Impossible” is in fact something. If we were able to do anything we wouldn’t have to go to school or eat healthy but this is not the case. It is essential for every human to study in some form whether that is in the classroom in school or reading of some form, it is not possible to make advancements without some sort of exercise to the brain. This goes back to Franklin’s words that “the doors of wisdom are never shut.” If we were to simply stop studying and reading books or exposing ourselves to the outside world, the doors of wisdom would be shut and we would not make any advancements in our lives or minds. One example that refers to both the slogan and the aphorism is the fact that we need to live a healthy life and eat right in order to stay active and stay healthy, and often survive. It is “Impossible” to be healthy if we eat junk food and sit on the couch 24/7. This will often affect our brains growth because our brain needs proper nutrients and training in order to grow. Without brain growth we will not gain wisdom and the “doors of wisdom” will in fact be closed. As you can see Adidas’ slogan and Ben Franklin’s aphorism can be true in some cases, and false in others upon careful

The general argument made by Salman Khan in his work, The Learning Myth: Why I’ll Never Say my Son is Smart, is that the brain grows through effort, struggle, and failure. Dr. Carol Dweck has studied brain development for several years and believes that most people either have a growth or fixed mindset. Khan writes, “Even small changes in communication or seemingly innocuous comments can have fairly-long lasting implications for a person’s mindset” (2). In this statement, the author is suggesting that even the smallest comments can mean the entire world to someone else, which can effect one’s brain development. In conclusion, Salman Khan’s belief is that each member of society should attempt to improve their brain growth by actively performing…

I believe in his belief because it doesn’t matter how difficult or easy it is to accomplish a goal; at the end of the day, what counts is the satisfaction of the work and experience a person puts into it. Franklin didn’t favor luck or opportunities, but instead became successful through hard work. Franklin was many things such as an author, inventor, scientist, and a printer.…
