The Activist Movement: The Black Lives Matter Movement

Even though I never attended or been part of an activist group, as part of the black community and as an African American, I always stood up for the black movement in our country. After taking this class I consider to be more focused on being a part of an activist group, to stand up for the right believes. Me, and I can speak for the whole black community is tired of the violence against individuals of color. You can’t just say white are good and black are back, we find in every race good and bad people. It is unacceptable to treat people less just because of an individual’s skin color, nation, sexual preferences, gender, etc. As an African American I made my own experiences with racial profiling and stereotype thinking of others, which causes lesser opportunities in my life while …show more content…
The activist movement Black Lives Matter is a movement against racism and police violence against the black community. BLM encourages individuals to fight against inequalities against people of color and that it is important to stick together against racism. To end police brutality and racial profiling against the black community, there has been found demonstrations all over the world. Movements like that help people to understand that black lives matter, everyone’s lives matters! People of color are like white people valued in our society, we all have hope and dreams that matters. BLM and other movements like that tries to succeed with their demonstration on focusing a social and political change in our world. Unfortunately, we still have issues and demonstrations for equality in the black community, for the women’s rights or about the acceptance of gay people. Not everyone has a smooth life growing up, not everyone get a fair and equal treatment from society, it is sad that we still have to teach some people that we all matter
