For my activity analysis I have chosen, the act of playing volleyball. Throughout my four years of high school, I have participated in volleyball. I have chosen this as it is something I love to do and know how to do very well. For this activity to succeed several aspects need to be met. In the game of volleyball there are many physical objects and systems of symbols that people use to accomplish this activity—one of the main tools being a volleyball. Without a volleyball there would be no way to play a game or even practice. Another tool needed to play an actual game of volleyball is a net. A net is used to divide the court in half and forces players to put the ball over the net at a certain height. Another needed necessity to accomplish this activity, is the book of rules. It is needed, as a player needs to know how to play the game so they can learn what to do and what not to do. A coach needs to know how the game works so they can teach their players the correct way to help them succeed. A referee needs to know how the game works so they can call out mistakes and make a call on the scoring of the points. Without these aspects none of the others activity analysis would matter, as you cannot proceed with a game with none of these.
The people engaged in this activity are the players on a volleyball team. The point of view is from each individual player who is involved in playing a game of volleyball, which is used to focus on the activity. A player is what makes the game…
