In the story “Chinese Cinderella” It tells about this Girls life. Her name being “Adeline-Yen Mah”. A ten

year old who lives in China you get to read about her life of living without a mother or a father.

Also having a family that hates her and consenters her “bad luck”. The mother of Adeline died

giving birth to her. The mother of Adeline Died From a high fever three days after Adeline was

born. Adeline mother died two weeks after Adeline was born. Even Adeline’s own sister hated

her saying “If you have not been born, Mama would still be alive. She died because of you. You

are bad luck!” The only thing that Adeline has of her mother is a. Silver medal left by her

mother.

The youngest of her grandfather. After the

death of Adeline’s mother her father had to move to America to work so she was left with her

aunt Baba. After so many years the father never contacted Adeline or Adeline’s sister or her

aunt Baba.So he simply went missing. Also another thing that Adeline’s sister blamed on her.

After so many years right when Adeline turned 13 years old. She gets mail every ones is in

shucks why she has resaved a letter because everyone in the village thought that she was bad

luck and was hated by so many. The message that Adeline resaved was from her father after 12

years of not seeing him and not knowing much about him he was a mystery to her. In the letter

is her dad telling her to come to America and live with him in California. It took over a year for

Adeline to move and live in America and she earned English in less than 10 mounts she also

made many friends in America and lived without gilt in her life and to this day she still keeps her

silver medal that her mother gave to her.

This book was an autobiography and a very good one. This book tooled about a family that hates
