The Absolutely True Diary of a Pat-Time Indian talks about a fourteen year old boy name Junior, born with hydrocephalus. Due to health condition he has developmental issues and is much smaller than the average, he experience seizures, poor eyesight, stuttering and lisping. He is of an Indian heritage, attendin a high school where he is picked on, he get into trouble after hitting his teacher with a book it was recommened for him to transfer to another school. A much wealthier school with majority of white folks and he is the only Indian student there. His story tells his experience coming from a family of alcoholics and deaths he had to deal with. To sum it up, Junior faced personal issues, culturally and social challages. Through it all
