“The abduction of a child is a tragedy. No one can fully understand nor appreciate what a parent goes through at such a time, unless they have faced a similar tragedy. Every parent responds differently. Each parent copes with this nightmare in the best way he or she knows how. “ John Wash , one of the best know parents of an abducted child, spoke out about the fact that there are no possible way to predict the way that families cope, and this is why the way of investigating these abductions can be a great hassle to investigate. John Walsh experienced a similar experience to the Horman family. Kyron Horman, at the time seven years old, was abducted Friday June 4, 2010. This has been one of the most media influenced cases presented in the United States. For the Horman family this was one of the hardest days that they would ever have to face. They began the day by normal means. Kyron was taken to school by his stepmother Terri so that he could be in the school’s science fair that morning. The last time that Terri would see Kyron was directly after touring the science fair and watching him walk to his class at 8:45. This rumor spread like wildfire, and while being disproven within a day continued to spread and many were despised as the truth did not spread as quickly as the rumor. At the same time Kyron’s father Kaine moved out of the family 's home with Kyron’s 19-month old sister and served Terri a restraining order. While unproven a landscaper working for the family came forward to confess that Terri had offered to pay him to kill Kaine, months before Kyron’s disappearance.
