This brings me to my next point of how the youth of today, kids that are twelve years old, are begging to have what their friends have when in reality twelve years ago, I would have settled for a point and shoot digital camera.
I want to share a little bit about me to give a better understanding of how I feel on technology, but cell phone dependence in particular. I am a twenty four year old photographer and was born and raised on the island of O’ahu, Hawaii for most of my life. Most of my teen years were made up of hanging out with friends and there was almost little to no influence from phones, unless you consider flip phones. It wasn’t until my sophomore year, 2006, that my parents reluctantly got me the cellphone of my choice, at the time it was the LG Chocolate, if you can remember what that was. It was simple and fully functional with the capability to do everything I would need, call and text friends and family. I am bringing this up because I want to establish a sense of simplicity in the earlier years and how much faster the tech industry
