The picture that Covey is trying to paint in the reader’s head is the fact that if you don’t set clear goals for yourself you’ll get caught in trying to be successful. Some of those things are defining the things that scare you, visualizing your funeral, and breaking down all the different roles you can or want to play. My final thoughts on this book is that every single thing that is discussed in this book really can be and probably will be implemented into your life. This book was very helpful because it really made me think about all the things I need to change in my life. I have learned many things from every habit in this book. One lesson I’ve learned that will always resonate with me is that no matter who you are you can and do anything you want to do with your life. Habits 2, 3 , and 4 are already a strength. A habit I struggle with the most is habit 1. The reason I struggle with habit 1 is because I don’t think before I start talking or reacting. One way that I’ve been trying to resolve this is by talking a minute to think about how whatever I’m about to say is going to affect the feelings of the person I’m talking to.
