The categories list think win-lose the totem pole, think lose-win the doormat, think lose-lose the downward spiral, and think win-win The-All-You-Can-Eat-Buffet. The first group, think win-lose, is an attitude towards life that says the pie of success is only so big, and if you get a big piece there is less for me. In this case, I’m going to make sure I get my slice first or that I get a bigger piece than you. Think win-lose is very competitive. It’s like a totem pole. In think win-lose, you don’t care how bad you are as long as you’re one step higher than someone else on the totem pole. This category is full of pride. According to the famous arthur C.S Lewis, it’s the pleasure of being above the rest that makes us feel good. Group two, think lose-win, is always giving in and trying to be the peacemaker. Category three, think lose-lose, is when two think win-lose people clash. It leads to a stubborn impasse as they try to beat each other at all costs. Think lose-lose is the downward spiral. If I go down, you’re going with me. This, of course, does not end well. Finally, think win-win, The-All-You-Can-Eat-Buffet. Think win-win sees life as a cooperative arena, not a competitive one. It’s having the attitude that everyone can win. Habit four definitely leads to success. It helps at school, at home, and can even help in future jobs. I have applied habit four, think win-win, to my life in numerous ways. I’ve mostly applied this habit to my life in school. Whenever my class has a test, I always put on a think win-win attitude. This is because I believe that each and every student in the classroom is capable of making a score
