One challenge in particular was when he arrived to a bar after being called because a man was instigating fights. John took the man to his cruiser because after doing a background check on him, he saw, the man had warrants out for his arrest. The man starts backing away from him, John then began to chase him and later stopped him. They began to fist fight, and the man would not give in because he was on some sort of drug, being extremely in shape john was able to outlast the man and finally won the scrap. This is not the only time john has had to or will have to use physical force on another man, the way he overcomes these challenges is going to the gym and becoming fit. He isn’t the biggest guy and it gives him lots of confidence knowing he can outrun or physically be stronger than anyone, even someone twice his size. Being small like John is, I think for myself it would be important to be very physically fit, and confident about any situation you may run into as a police officers.
Improving personal wellness My mentor says that he lives a very well-balanced life, and has no need for improvement in any of the dimensions of wellness. I believe my mentor when he says this because he seems very happy about everything and laughs about many things. I need to work on almost every aspect of my wellness, still being young, I have not found a very good balance in my life, and need to do my best to work on that.
