In season 1 Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily lose touch after the disappearance of their best friend/leader Alison Dilaurentis. Aria Montgomery moves to Iceland with her family for a year. A year later, they reunite after the cops find Alison's’ body and they start getting messages from “A”. Throughout the season the girl try to figure out 2 mysteries: who killed Alison and who’s stalking/tormenting them. The 4 girls have tons of secrets that “A” threatens to expose. Their biggest secret of all is that when Alison was still alive she threw a stick bomb in Jenna Marshalls garage thinking no one was in it, but it was to late. Jenna was blinded and Alison told Toby Cavanaugh, Jenna’s stepbrother, to take the blame or Alison would expose a secret …show more content…
Aria is dating her on again/off again English teacher, Ezra Fitz, who she met in a bar before school starts. He later resigned from Rosewood High School in Pennsylvania to teach at Hollis College so him and Aria can be together. Hanna first dates Sean Ackard, then has a thing with Lucas Gottesman, and now her bad boy Caleb Rivers. She finds out though that after sleeping with Caleb that Jenna paid him to hang out with her to search for a key. Emily had a boyfriend named Ben Coogan, but came out of the closet when a new girl named Maya St. Germain moved to Rosewood. They started dating and later Maya was sent to True North, a religious camp, for doing drugs. Emily then starts dating her swimmate Paige McCullers and is now interested in a girl named Samara Cook. Spencer kisses Ian Thomas and Wren Kingston, 2 of her sister, Melissa’s, ex boyfriends. She then dated a boy at a Country Club named Alex Santiago, then her and Toby got close after he was set free from jail.
Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily have had a lot of “A” drama. “A” ran Hanna over with a car after she discovered who “A” was but luckily survived. When “A” finds out that Ashley Marin, Hanna’s mom, stole money from the bank, “A” steals the money and bribes Hanna to do things for “A” “A” found things to frame Spencer with and is now a person of interest in Alison Dilaurentis’ murder investigation. “A” leads the 4 girls into discovering 2 videos: Alison and Ian together the night Ali disappeared and someone watching/videotaping them for

    Spike Lee’s film, Four Little Girls, is a historical documentary about the 16th St. Baptist Church bombing that took place on September 15, 1963 in Birmingham, Alabama. According to Rodger Elbert, who reviewed this film shortly after it came out in 1997, Spike Lee, who directed the film was able to bring the back to life by including photographs, videos and interviews with the family members of the four little girls who were killed in that bombing.
