The outsiders are set in the 1960’s in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There are two rival gangs called greaser and Socs, Socs stands for socials. The greasers are the middle class, and there called greasers because they all wear allot of grease in their hair, Socs are the higher class. The Socs get in to fights for fun, but the greasers get into fights because they have to. But there are multiple characters like Ponyboy, dally, Sodapop, Darry, two-bit, Johnny and more. Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry are all brothers who lost their parents in an automobile accident. The story starts off as Ponyboy getting jumped by Socs and everybody goes to save him. Ponyboy and Johnny sleep outside a little later on and Ponyboy gets home very late, and Darry hits him so he
