The Olympics should continue to be held in different places around the world. First of all, the Olympics represent a country’s ultimate opportunity to show its national identity to the world. During the 2012 Olympics in Great Britain, polls showed that a majority of British men felt more national pride because their country was hosting the games which is important for a nation. Next, if a country hosts the Olympics, it would help them rebuild the nation if they were going through tough times and upgrade transportation, broadcasting, etc. Whitt Flora from seattletimes.com write, “The 1864 Tokyo Olympics marked a shining moment in Japan’s history, an occasion that restored national pride after a humiliating World War 2 defeat.” She also wrote,
