Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces are the twelve signs most people know about astrology. These signs are the 12 constellations of the zodiac. Astrology is the study of the correlation between the stars and the planets and its influence of human lives. The position of the Sun, stars, moon and planets at the time of people’s birth is perceived to shape their personality, affect their relationships, and predict their life. While some believe astrology is a superstitious belief because it is not considered a real science. More open minded souls such as myself conceive that most people do not consider all of the aspects that come along with astrology. The Babylonians are typically …show more content…
Some of planets rule more than one signs. The ruling planet holds energies and signs primary influence. The biggest star in this world. The sun. It is the ruling planet of the sign Leo. The sun represents light and life itself. Everything in the solar system revolves around the sun. The sun also represents power, authority, leadership, creativity, and passion for life. A person born under the sun, a Leo, will naturally be the center of attention of his or her world. The Moon rules the Cancer sign. It represents emotions, intuition, habits, and moods. The moon is associated with maternal instincts and home building. The Moon is the closest astrological planet to the earth and has strong influences of Mother Nature and humankind. The sign under the moon will be very emotional in their approach to life and will have to gradually feel their way through the world. Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo. It represents communication, mental attributes, and reasoning powers, and ability to adapt thoughts and things. Individuals ruled under Mercury communicate their thoughts to others. Both Gemini and Virgo are both mutable signs. Venus rules Taurus and Libra. The planet represents harmony, peace, sensuality, and balance. Children of Venus control romance and the sensual desires for personal pleasure. Taurus and Libra are a somewhat mysterious individuals. They will never reveal their full hand in anything. Mars is the ruling planet of Aries. It represents aggression, confidence, sex, power, and a driving need to get ahead. Mars is a very physical planet and controls sports, competition, and sexual drive. Children of Mars are very intense and determined individual who love getting their way and being the best at any and everything. Jupiter rules Sagittarius.
