Edgar Allan Poe was a famous writer a.k.a The Raven. He had one wife. His wife Virginia Eliza Clemm Poe died of tuberculosis. Virginia was with the T.B. for 5 years when she was 24 she died. Edgar was writing poems and stories about virginia, his beloved wife. Virginia was 13 and Poe was 27 when they married. Their family said, “ That’s the happiest they seen POe, since his mother died.” Poe joined the army after he was kicked out by his step-father. When he came back he fell in love with his younger cousin Virginia Clemm. After Virginia died he lost everything. He drank a lot not to feel the pain for his wife. He was 40 years old when he died. He continued to drink til his death on the street.
