Leviticus 7:12 states, “If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.” In the past my family and I had a tradition for Thanksgiving, however we do not anymore. We did what most other families do. We watched the Thanksgiving parade and then ate turkey and stuffing as a whole family during Thanksgiving dinner. A day we thank God for his guidance and the opportunity that we have to sit down with those we love. Being at peace knowing no future danger will come our way. Thanksgiving Day is celebrated each and every year by my family, and most american families whether we have money or not. Therefore this is a day that we give thanks, because we have a choice on how to live our lives in a sinful world where much freedom is non-existent.
