Some things he said that were unique were that he goe down to Tennessee to visit relatives. Another would be that he usually watches sports while he eats Thanksgiving dinner with his family. When the Pilgrims and the Indians had their Thanksgiving, they didn’t…

What, to the homeless man, is Thanksgiving? I answer: a holiday that reminds him, more than any other hungry day in the year, the gluttony and selfishness to which he is the constant prey. To him, your feasts are ridiculous; your thankful humility, just empty words; your giving attitude, bitterly ironic; your television specials, a mockery of his suffering; your holiday spirit, vanishing in an instant; your clamoring for generosity and kindness, painful to his ears; your pumpkins and autumn leaves, your peace and togetherness, with all the Macy’s Parades and cranberry sauce, are, to him mere frivolity, excess, wastefulness, greed, and close-fisted behavior- a tablecloth thrown over miserly deeds which would shock a room full of businessmen.…

The anticipation for Thanksgiving break is over the top. The thought of home cooked meals, family, and no professors talking a student 's ear off for a week are heavenly. Of course all the classic thanksgiving things happen but there are also psychological things that go on. (Darn that psychology sneaking its way into everything, it obviously never goes on break.) Although psychology is used every minute of every day i 'm only going to talk about 5 concepts, persuasion, cognition, emotion, personality, and the self.…

Christmas break in my opinion is probably the second best brake that we have throughout our school year. The main thing I like about Christmas break is how long it is. But even though I like how long we are off school it's almost like we don't have a break because basketball takes over. We get a few days off but the rest of the days are hitting the gym early in the mornings for two to three hours a day. The days I have is the best thing in the world because I get to relax and do something fun for once.…
