Consent was attained from each participant and they were told that they had the right to withdraw themselves and their results from the experiment at any time if they wished to. However, the participants were not told that the questions of the survey was changed for certain participants and that out of the survey that they took after witnessing the video, we only took one into account. This deception is justified because it was necessary to reduce the possibilities of screw-you effect and ensure the accuracy of this experiment. At the conclusion after all the participants finished the study, they were fully debriefed, offered a copy of the results if they wished to see them and given the opportunity to withdraw from the experiment.…

We discussed this, which is a chance for students to take a break during class to stop what they are doing to reflect on what is happening, to recall their lessons, and gain an understanding of what is being said to them. We actually had a chance to experience writing breaks in the class during a video. One thing I found that I was able to focus more on the movie when I had the questions first. I really liked the suggestion of if there is time to play it twice, once with out the questions and the second time giving the questions. Adaptations may be needed for students who need it.…

The first sheet of this was for the students to brainstorm and write ideas about their family members. The other sheet was “My small moment” sheet.…

She allowed the students to show what they knew but if there was any misconception about the information that was discussed she quickly stopped the debate and clarified the information. This process doesn’t just help the teacher to assess what the students know but it is a learning opportunity for the students as well. Correcting…

When I delivered the teaching session, the experience was an overall success with students showing a clear interest and engaging in the lesson (Table 1, question 10, mean 4.3). The teaching began with a clear introduction to the key learning points for the whole session (Table 1, question 5, mean 4.3), which allowed the students to understand what the session was going to entail. This was beneficial to those who needed to see the big picture to see how topics fit together[1]. I further explained that the session will be split into three sections and explained that certain learning outcomes will be covered in each section. Student feedback stated that there was “enthusiastic teaching in appropriate sized teaching bites.”…
