It was thanksgiving break I had heard my grandpa and mom talking something about being honest. I didn’t think much about it so I went back to the dining table We all laughed and had a good time. But little did I know what was to come.

I was preparing myself for bed right about then my mom had walked in and seemed gloomy. I didn’t ask what was bothering her. She said she had come in to tuck me in. which seemed odd because she never did that since my 10th birthday. Right then I knew my mom was holding something back. Before I got a chance to ask what was wrong she had left the room.

It was saturday morning I got up and headed for the kitchen. As I was heading down the stairs I heard my mom and dad talking “ i think she's old enough to know “ my father had said “ I agree but I just don't think that i'm ready to tell her” my mom said. I walked up to them and asked “ ready to know what?’’ I said. They both looked at each other petrified “ how long were u there’’ my father said. “ that doesn’t matter what matters is what you aren’t telling me” I exclaimed .

I told my mom to get to the point then she told me I was adopted. I was stunned all these questions going through my head like who are my parents where did I come from and all that. For a minute there was stunned silence in the room. My dad broke the silence saying “ It's okay’’ as much as I wanted to believe that. The truth was that it

One afternoon, my father came to pick me up instead of my mother who was usually given the task. As we were walking toward the car another parent stopped my dad for a brief conversation. At this same moment another student, who I assumed had to have been new to the school, asked me if I was adopted. Dumbfounded, I looked at him, responded with a stern no, and began to wonder why someone would ever ask me such an idiotic question. The student walked off and my father eventually finished his conversation, but before returning home he had to stop by the local Giant.…

Imagine having to watch the person who made you who you are today become sick. This is what I had to go through at a young age. My mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis or MS. Multiple Sclerosis is when your immune system attacks the central nervous system. At thirteen I had to try to understand what was happening to her body, cope with something I had no control over, and attempt to deal with the uncertainty of my mothers’ future.…

It was at the age of 5 that I was adopted. I had lived with my great aunt and uncle since I was 10 months old. They had taken care of me from an early age and decided that they wanted to take care of me for as long as they were alive. I always have the best memories when I look back into the past of the times growing up. My family that adopted me had always been there whenever I needed them.…

The anticipation for Thanksgiving break is over the top. The thought of home cooked meals, family, and no professors talking a student 's ear off for a week are heavenly. Of course all the classic thanksgiving things happen but there are also psychological things that go on. (Darn that psychology sneaking its way into everything, it obviously never goes on break.) Although psychology is used every minute of every day i 'm only going to talk about 5 concepts, persuasion, cognition, emotion, personality, and the self.…

On Monday, November 28, 2016, my family and I had dinner your restaurant to celebrate Thanksgiving Holiday. As a loyal customer who have been eating in your restaurant for two years, I was not happy at my recent dining experience at Homey Buffet during that time. Because of this, I would like Homey Buffet to grant my $360 refund request. I made a reservation a month ago for 15 people (9 adults, 6 kids) on the phone and speak to the hostess, Alyssa, who told me that my reservation has been scheduled smoothly. However by the time we arrived, we were told by same hostess that our reservation was lost and to wait 45 minutes in cold temperature outside.…

Since I was a little kid, I had always had a love for cooking and baking. I would beg my parents for the large toy kitchen sets with the fake plastic food. I would spend all day “preparing” the food and I would “feed” my parents; asking them if the food I made them was tasty. I even had a tea set that my mom had bought me; I adored it, it was a white set that had little flower details on the pot and cups. When I first got the set I would stop all of my family members who passed by me for some “tea” but I soon stopped asking as I would usually get a “No, thank you” from my dad and sister; however, my mom wouldn’t decline me so she became my go-to person for when I wanted to drink tea with someone.…
