Who knew that after Mrs.Jones almost had her pocket book stolen that she would be so kind to Roger still. In the story,“ Thank you Ma’am”, by Langston Hughes, Mrs.Luella Bates Washington Jones, the protagonist, is a Kind-Hearted woman. Mrs.Jones is a kind-hearted woman because she took care of Rogers needs, she wanted people to change, she wants people to learn a lesson. Mrs.Jones is a Kind-Hearted woman to Roger, because she wanted Roger to learn a lesson, especially when they’re on the street. One day when Mrs.Jones was walking,Roger tried to steal Mrs.Jones’s purse,but it was to heavy for him. First, Mrs.Jones picked him up and shook him till his teeth started to shake.This shows that she wanted him to know what he did wrong. Then, Mrs.Jones pick him right up and kicked him right in the “blue jean sitter”. Lastly, Mrs.Jones wouldn’t let him go anywhere, but, home with her to get cleaned up. As a result of this she is a woman that if something bad happens then she will forgive and forget ,but, not before teaching a lesson.

Mrs.Jones is a Kind-Hearted woman because she wanted Roger to change.When they were at her house she started talking while Roger was washing his face. We learned that, one reason is that, Mrs.Jones said that,“I once were young too,and I wanted

Mrs.Jones took him to her house and did what he asked for and he did what she asked for. For example, Mrs.Jones said that he could live with her. This shows that since he didn’t have a mother now he could have a mother. Next, Mrs.Jones gave him the money for shoe’s. As a result she said he could of just asked for the money. Finally,Mrs.Jones let him wash his face in her house.This shows that they just meet and she is still letting a stranger in her home to wash his face in her bathroom. As you can see she will always give him what he needs throughout his life, if they ever meet
