First, I would like to thank you for your generous sponsorship, and for your kindness, I don't take for granted the fact that you are providing me with this sponsorship, and I appreciate it and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Today I am a second year student, and the exam period will start soon. This exam period will be different because I learned to take the studies more easily and enjoy. With the hope, that I will be able to remain calm until the end of the year differently than last year.
The first year was very busy and stressful because it was the beginning, and I didn't know what to expect and how I'll be able to complete the year with the high bar that I set for myself, but I made it and I am pretty proud of myself and happy.

From middle school to high school, band became a vital part of my life. It was all I knew, it was where I felt comfortable, and this was where I pratically began learning about my leadership skills. However, my curiousity grew when I was introduced to Class Council. I thought that there was no difference, and I naively thought that since I have been a part of a leadership role for about 4 years, everyone knows me, so I thought Class Council could not be so hard. I was terribly wrong.…

I had the confidence to finally get out of my comfort zone and started doing what regular kids do, which seemed impossible the year before. For such a young person, I sure did realize how mature I was. I learned the habit of not complaining about what is wrong and instead getting up to actually fix it. Having experienced this, I learned that my passion was in making a difference in other people's’ lives. I know I am driven to spend the rest of my life doing it.…

My first year at Cedar Shoals was unforgettable, I had no idea what to expect. Most people consider going into highschool as one of the big parts of your life. I was hesitant for the change since I was going into a much bigger school and meeting new people. The Most Energetic Year This year has easily been the most difficult year I have experienced throughout my entire education career. With the never-ending homework from U.S. history, studying and taking the ACT, and keeping up with basketball, I have been non-stop for the entire year. Even though I can say that, including this class, it was the hardest year of education, I also think I have learned the most this year. I think the text that I found most compelling was easily the movie we watched at the end of the year called The Straight Story. I know that this is a movie rather than actual literature, but I do think that I took the most lessons out of this text than any other one of this year.…
