Many students complain about tuition increase makes it very difficult for them to pursue higher education with the financial burden or disapproval of obtaining a student loan. Tuition fees hike also cause many talented students but poor losing opportunities to achieve a higher education. Furthermore, due to rising tuition costs, it has led to more students taking on substantial hours of work during the academic year to make ends meet. The costs of tuition are on an incline, and has made summer employment alone no longer sufficient to cover tuition costs. Instead of hiring external labour force, the university can provide more positions to students. These positions could vary from easy and fundamental to high level and complicated ones. This method is reasonable because unversity institutions do not need pay higher salaries than employees from outside of campus, and enable to relieve students financial burden. In fact, a win-win situation can be reached as the university are also able to get benefits from it.
3.Look for external subsidy, donation, investment, and sponsors
The main reason for university to increase tuition is lack of capital to cover rising expenditure. Therefore it is necessary to look for external capital resources. Without a doubt, high-level education contributes to the nation’s future, and it is regarded as important long term investment. We can apply for subsidy from the government. If the government has financial deficit, they can seek for business sponsors. University can also collaborate with companies by reaching an agreement about providing high-quality graduates in exchange of business investments.
