Thanatos is the greek god of non-violent death, there is not much to say about Thanatos as he did not play a big part in mythology and only appeared in two myths. Thanatos is the son of Nyx and Erebus, sometimes he does not have a father, although he has a twin brother names Hypnos. Anubis is the Egyptian god of death and embalming, he is the son of Osiris and Nepthys, although some say his father is Set, and his mother was Isis. He was thought to have protected tombs by watching from a strategic vantage point.
