In the story Axolotl, “I” went the aquarium and accidentally fall in love with the axolotls. “I” found out that the axolotls are different from other species, and they have a pair of eyes that could see through darkness. “I” imagine myself as an axolotl, but also a human being. My body is trapped inside an axolotl; At the same time, “I” want to be free. “I” am looking for the eyes of axolotl so “I” could take a clear look at this world. The author expresses his emotions toward axolotls, he shows his desire of being free in this nation by describing the axolotls. The nation does not need more lions and panthers; The nation needs intelligent people like axolotls to seek for freedom, instead of using armed forces to keep “peace”, such like lions and panthers. …show more content…
Celso describes his personal life during the robbery which reveals the unequal status between different races. From Celso’s words, the audience knows that he was married with a white woman and he is deeply frightened about the racism in this nation. When he was robbed, Celso unconsciously takes the robber as a white male, also he takes every belongs off immediately. Celso’s behavior reveals the conflicts between races, and the robber represents the white-supremacy supporters in the nation. Get married with a white woman means the racism is not clearly representational, however, the conflicts are currently going on. Takes the robber as a white male means that the racism is under a critical stage, black is frightened by the white. The clothes and properties that be taken off from Celso represents the properties that black was taken off by racism. I feel very upset about Celso when he laughed on the street being naked, I do think racism is one of the most ridiculous theory in our world, because we are human species who just born with different
