Now what I really love about the interactive piece is how immersed you really feel in the piece. First things first, the fact that the background is black and the article title is white on the main page really sticks out at you and grabs your attention. Graduating from Princeton his writing skills are impeccable.…

Rhetorical Analysis of a slave narrative Slavery was an unfortunate and devastating mark on American history. We talk about it and learn about it in classes but it is rare that we read about honest firsthand accounts from actual slaves. An Immigration Story For my creative writing piece I decided to focus on the genre of podcasts. Podcasts are a common medium used to inform and interact with an audience. I choose to do a podcast because my topic at hand, immigration, can be very broad and contains a lot of information. The video format allowed for a more direct connection to the audience. Though the general public could be considered the audience for this piece, I found it more important to target an audience less informed with immigration.…

The Little Prisoner by Jane Elliott This book was a powerful if not over powering story of a child whose step father abused her on every level of abuse; physical, mental, sexual, and emotional. The author of this book Jane, a pseudonym for the actual child, made the book come full circle. It started in the court room and was brought back to that pivotal moment when she is forced to face her attacker as an adult. It shows the reader the reaction of someone who clearly has no understanding the effects the child abuse Jane endured because the officer treated her like she was overreacting.…
