Textual Analysis Of A Restaurant

As I stroll though the parking lot with the sun blasting its rays in my eyes and beads of sweat casually running down my face, I spot a small garden in front of The Whiskey Cake building. The garden, systematically placed right next to the front door, is filled with fully grown herbs like: rosemary, cilantro, basil, and mint. The small garden represents a simple principle the owners of The Whiskey Cake revolve their restaurant around, always keep the ingredients fresh and local. As I step into the foyer of the restaurant, I notice that the restaurant challenges the stereotypes of refined dining and likes to show the more creative side of it. The restaurant boldly twists the ideas of refined dining and, at the same time, achieves the principles …show more content…
Prior to eating at the restaurant, I decided that I am going to take a leap of faith and have a three course meal at lunchtime. The Whiskey Cake did not disappoint. The first item I order off the menu is the caramelized onion dip (Figure 1). The cream based dip is tangy, sweet, and salty all at the same time. The dip is paired with potato chips that are fried until it reaches the point past golden brown and has a subtle taste of mesquite barbeque. This simple looking appetizer is filled with many complex flavors that attacks my taste buds all at once, getting me ready for the next …show more content…
This restaurant is amazing and I recommend people to try The Whiskey Cake. The Whiskey Cake is a refined restaurant, but is not your stereotypical restaurant. The atmosphere is little bit louder and the way the restaurant present itself is different. It stirs away from the modern style decorations and drives closer to a retro style. The prices are reasonably as I paid thirty dollars for a delicious three course meal. I will give The Whiskey Cake a four stars rating. There are some minor details, like having small entrée choices that can really upset picky eaters. If the restaurant can expand their menu than that can potentially get higher ratings. Overall the atmosphere at The Whiskey Cake is always friendly, the service is great, and the food is consistently delicious. I will, without a doubt, visit The Whisky Cake

I chose to write my paper on S. Truett Cathy, because as you will see, he is one of the great pioneers of the hospitality, and foodservice, industry. From a very young age, Samuel Truett Cathy (“Truett”) realized that providing excellent customer service was the heart and soul of any good business model. He set out to accomplish his goals, and with some ups and downs along the way, built the second-largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain in the United States. S. Truett Cathy is an gifted businessman, author, Presidential Volunteer Service Award winner, and philanthropist; he also embodies the very meaning of exceeding guest expectations. There may be a few negatives that you will possibly experience while dining at Cheddar’s Casual Café, but it is a restaurant that I would recommend to families who are looking to save money and who are looking for a place that also has good food. Murphy’s Pub, in Manhattan’s Midtown East neighborhood, is a lively and relaxing classic Irish-style pub that serves delightful pub grub in its charming eatery. While it's not a full scale restaurant, it does have enough delicious food to choose from and is the perfect way to relax with friends and family alike after playing a few holes of golf. I especially like the architecture on the course--English country Tudor. It's beautiful and lends in well with the theme of a day in the country out of a busy fast-paced lifestyle that you find in Chicago. Being this is a world-class golf course, in a country club environment, you'll especially appreciate the various events that you can plan if you make a return trip. Weddings, birthdays, graduation parties and you can always count having the golf course opened during holidays throughout the year.…

Every time I walk into Texas Roadhouse my eyes wonder over to where the rolls and their special cinnamon butter waiting to be consumed by the customer. I hear country music playing in the background, and feel peanuts crumbling under my feet like leaves on a beautiful autumn day. Without looking at the menu, my mind is already preparing my stomach for the flavorful food that I am about to encounter. Texas Roadhouse gives the Newark population somewhere local to get a great steak while getting a significate value. From personal experience most of the other steakhouses will get very pricey for a family of five making it difficult to dine at their restaurant while living on a tight budget.…

If you do not wish to utilize the valet parking, you can park right around the corner. Parking is never an issue at this location, it’s in a safe area, and its right by the mall, so you can even go shopping after your lunch or dinner. The wait staff were very proficient, dressed professionally, white dress shirts, with black dress pants and the service was outstanding. From the minute you walk into the restaurant, you are greeted by the host, seated right away, although, during dinner time, there might be a little wait, but it’s worth it. The drinks, the meal, and the desert came out flawless, as well as the service.…

Most people go to the mall to shop, but when I went I was also there to take note of all the sexual images and messages I saw and heard. As soon as I walked in the the male there was both female and male mannequins displacing underwear, some more sexual then others but both sending the same message. In the mall I saw plenty of sensual imagery from sexual clothing, candles, sex toys, pictures of models both male and female, advertisements that displayed sexual imagery, and naked pictures of women as well on the clothing of some individuals. Also over the period of about 2 hours that I was in the mall I witnessed male interactions with females and female interactions with males. Walking around like a creep I heard plenty of catcalls form both…
