Textual Analysis Interview

First of all, I would like to extend my gratitude to our professor Chris McEvoy for presenting us with the opportunity to conduct an interview with a startup, as it was a mind changing event for me. For our interview, the startup that agreed to work with us was Socio: A next level event experience. The main model of this startup is to make an event a fun experience and cut down the needs of carrying business cards. They developed an android, iOS app that helps user to share information with another user, just by shaking their phone when in close proximity, and it generates an accept request on each users phone, which when accepted shares all the information that the user has entered in their socio profile, which ranges from; cell phone number, multiple email ids, twitter account, Facebook account, etc. We were grateful to have Yarkin Sakucoglu (CEO and co-founder) and Andrew Price (Director of Sales), and we were able to understand their philosophy of startup, and what it takes to lead a startup from zero to a point where they are right now. Motivation: I am a very strong believer of the quote, “Great things never come from comfort zone – Unknown”. As much as I tend to keep myself out of my comfort zone, by trying to learn new things at a fast pace, and be uncomfortable by juggling very challenging projects in my hand as doing poor in them will mean losing my credibility with faculty. That was what exactly Yarkin and Andrew emphasized on, as they said, the day you know what your passion is or what you want to build, then that should be it nothing should pull you down. There are moments, where everything falls apart, and you feel like I should give up, but then giving up makes us no better than a person who never had an aim to do big in their life. This eventually pointed out the fact, that motivation is needed to push us one step forward, but then what about another
