After reading chapter 4 of Gendered Lives, I realized that there are a lot more men’s movements that are consistent with my values than I thought. Specifically, NOMAS follows my values because they talk about their “needs, feelings, and problems” (Wood, 2015, p. 84). I believe that it is important for everyone to connect with, acknowledge, and discuss their needs, feelings, and problems. Furthermore, the White Ribbon Campaign follows my belief that it is wrong to abuse women. I respect that there are men who make awareness and a difference to men mistreating women.
