Companies that advertise on television find creative ways to promote a new products or services and capture the attention of viewers. Commercials are a tools for companies to reach a broad spectrum of new customers. The use of clever gimmicks and catchy phrases, along with the promise of looking as good as the models, thus increasing the sales anti aging products. Both men and women use products that promote anti aging to look and feel younger. These products include creams and ointments to reduce the signs of aging and hair coloring to cover gray hair. The advertisement companies find new ways to display products for different target markets. Today, viewers see ads for men who need hair color, shaving products or skin care designed specifically for their gender during the evening. Commercials advertising products designed for women usually air in the morning and afternoon. The ads are designed for stay-at- home moms who desire ways to …show more content…
This time frame a variety of ads for cars, insurance companies, restaurants, foods and household items and each commercial breaks averaged over three minutes. The average length of each commercial was thirty four seconds, thus allowing plenty of time for a variety of ads. During the morning viewing hour, three commercials were geared to looking young. The first advertisement was a product line from Cover Girl known as Simply Ageless foundation. The commercial features Ellen DeGeneres and showed how using this product can keep consumer looking younger as they age. The use of a celebrate such as Ellen DeGeneres, who is well known and respected, makes the consumer trust that this product will achieve young-looking skin. The Cover Girl company has many beauty products and is well-known for quality and inexpensive products. The advertisement is clearly for older women who want to look radiant and
