Although many believe that texting is destroying our language, it is actually improving it. When people think of language, they mainly think of the form of language in speech. Speech is a very important form of language, but it is no longer the most popular form of communication. According to the article, “Texting overtakes talking as most popular form of communication in UK, “By far the most popular means of communication on a day-to-day basis is by text messaging.” Speaking was obviously the first form of communication, then after that writing came about.
