“One of the world’s most beloved ways of communicating is by text messaging (texting). The world loves talking with others by communicating on their cell phones, but people are too focused and obsessed with their cell phones that cell phones are becoming dangerous to drivers. Also people who drive while sending text messages are putting other driver, passengers, and pedestrians in jeopardy (Texting). Texting while driving is seriously dangerous causing other people and drivers to be in danger also. So in result, drivers should not be texting while driving because it could kill or injure someone severely. This is why texting while driving should be banned. Among drivers, the leading cause is distracted driving (Parents). Cell phones are the main things that get drivers attention off the road. If cell phones distract drivers then it can affect others on the road making it dangerous. Another reason why texting while driving should be banned is because driving can be treacherous. It uses a large amount of mental energy and needs full attention to drive it (Texting). Driving is a natural value to learn in life and needs to be used properly and taken seriously. Parents take part in distracted teenagers, while most than half of teens talk on their phones , their parents are talking on the phone while driving also (Parents). Teens still talk on their cell phones even if they 're not driving. So lots of parents don’t care how their teens talk on their phones while driving because they do it too. Also, parents are no different from teens today (Wallace, Kelly). This means patents use their phones just as much as teens. So when teens see their parents using their cell phones all the time , they’re going to do the same thing also. An interesting fact about parents being a big influence on teens is the biggest age for texting while driving in the USA are the adults (Copeland). Which is surprising because teens use their cell phones quite a lot. This means that the adults are a bad influence on society more than teens. Another reason why texting while driving should be banned is because kids learn from what their parents are doing. So if parents are texting while driving, then the kids will be texting and driving (Wallace, Kelly). Kids always learn from what their parents are doing and when they grow older, they will tend to follow in their parents steps in the same way.
