As mentioned, teens are the ones that are involved in most car accidents caused by using cell phones. For example, in a injury case study by “Judge Anthony P. Calisi”, he investigated a car accident where a sixteen year old girl named Emily, who had just gotten her license, was on her way to a high school football game with her five girl friends, and Emily was just driving for 5 minutes, until her boyfriend send her a text message saying he wanted to breakup their relationship. Today's issue in texting and driving is social media. Social media is the number one resource in a cellphone. Applications such like, Snapchat, Facebook, Vine, or Instagram can take control of one's attention. Snapchat gives one the power to record themselves, or take pictures wherever one is, and allows to show friends the picture or video right away. Many people tend to do this, for example, even some celebrities, such as Kylie Jenner – a young women who's one of the most viewed celebrity as of right now. On her Snapchat she enjoys recording herself dancing in the car with her friend, saying dumb jokes, or singing songs, but the problem is Kylie does this when she is driving. Another example, is a well known fitness model Valeria Orsini, who sometimes likes to let her viewers know what she's wearing, or what her plans are for the day, but just like Kylie, she does it when she is driving, which is very stupid and dangerous. These famous celebrities have a lot of followers on social platforms, and teens can view this as a cool thing to do, or say “if he or she can do it, why can't I do it.” Teens fall for these acts and that's where their life is in danger. Talking on the phone is another big issue these days, and I think the ad shows that. Talking and driving seems safer and easier but it's not. One little argument or fight can cause the driver to drift away from the road
