Cell phones distract pretty much everyone. From 12 month old girls and boys looking at the moving pictures on the screen to 80 year old men and women trying to figure out how to use the touch screen phone. Today a new type of danger comes with cell phones. This would be texting and driving.
Everyday somebody in the world are losing loved ones due to texting and driving. This takes your attention away from the road and the other people and objects around them. Anything can happen when you take your eyes for the road for more then 3 seconds. Do you really trust not just teens, but anyone texting and driving around you?
Teens and young adults think they are invincible and can do what they please. They think nothing bad will happen to them but, they aren't.

One popular one is the story about Deej Logan. A young teenage girl detracted behind the wheel. He father, Matt Logan talked to a high school abiut her story in hopes it will prevent another accident like his daughters. Deej Logan was killed on the first of school, her senior year, on September 4th, 2012 ( www.brainerddispatch.com). Deej rear ended a bus while it was stopped while texting back a friend. Her father said she was like every other teenage girl.
He goes on to say, “she made a choice”, meaning she picked to be detracted when she shouldn't have been. He father went to her high school around the time of prom. This way her class mates can have a message about texting and driving. Many high schools around prom time do this type of program to get teens to understand it's not safe to do things like that. Another story is a personal story from Tamara
Canelli. This story is about her, her mother, and her Aunt Heather. Heather was only 19, almost 20 at the time. She was on her way to pick up Tamara and her mom from Tamara's grandmothers house. On her way there, Heather got distracted by her cell phone. She had received a text message and decided
