Texting and driving is a dangerous act around the country done by teens and adults who most likely know the outcome of possibly killing or seriously injuring someone but doesn't cross their mind at that point. Electronic devices are distractions for people of any age, teens constantly on them. Texting, tweeting, or maybe snapchatting someone. Social media is overpowering minds of teens, completely controlling their minds, distracting them from the real world. Car accidents is one of the main reasons why texting while driving isn't allowed. Even putting it in the glove compartment will assist you in driving(T&D Tips 4,5). I believe if you absolutely cannot wait on a text or call, it's better to pull over to the side or in a gas station/store, so you’re not getting any other driver in danger.
