If the ad was produced before the Facebook era then this would be more effective.

So is the ad effect? Yes but to a certain extent. It gets the basic no texting and driving part through to you. It shows you the effect of texting and driving. While also bring humor to you, but at the same time depending on the generation your from would affect how you take the ad. The ad is clear and makes the basic point but it almost like I should be clearer by saying you should not use your phone at all while driving and pay attention to the road. Not that you should not just not text and drive because you are going miss something to share but because you are not going to know what is going on around

Young adults tend to lose focus as soon as they look at their phone screen. Simple slogans and catchphrases on billboards do not lower this risk; they rather increase the distraction of a driver. However Education Weekly suggests the idea of “stronger penalties” because it’s going to take more than “awareness campaigns” to stop these actions. The more forceful a consequence becomes, the chances of common texting while driving incidents could decrease. This could tame the individual’s mind to not even think about losing their focal point off the road.…

Advertisements against distracted driving, especially when the distractions are centered around technology, have been played for years on every type of media: television, radio, print, the Internet, everywhere media is influential. One would think that consumers would get the idea; don’t drive distracted. Advertisements have reworded this simple phrase into every ad you can think of, yet few ads profoundly affect the average driver. A certain ad campaign by Volkswagen in July 2013 is among the few. Using pathos and relatability, the simplistic design of the advertisements has a conventional understanding of the implications of operating a vehicle while distracted.…

Most people can admit to texting and driving or checking their phone while driving at least once in their lifetime. Most people do not see the danger of doing this because they have never been personally affected by the consequences of texting and driving. The Calvin Klein Jean ad shows a half-naked man draped over half-naked women both of the oiled up and twisting around each other, conveys an implied steamy twosome. Calvin Klein is known for their quality of clothing and their high status on the fashion runway. In the ads, they are known for their edginess. They are not shy about going out of the norms when it comes to making their adverts. It all started in 1980 with the Brooke Shields (a 15 year old girl) advert in 1980, with a punch line "Nothing comes between me and my class" One would argue that even though the ad is targeting a younger demographic there still needs to be a sense of responsiveness towards proper ethics.…

Campaigns discuss the dangers of texting behind the wheel (Salazar03). It helps drivers recognize the risk (“Should Texting…”) they bring to our roads when they decide to pick up their cell phones while driving. The most important thing that campaigns do is that they encourage safe driving (“Should Texting…”).
