But afterwards, General Houston marches his troops south, to what is outside of Harrisburg to prepare for the engagement with Santa Anna. They go there also Santa Anna’s final battle in San Jacinto. But instead, Colonel Sherman refuses to follow the orders from General Houston and sends his troops to go fight. This smooth move almost cost them the war. Meanwhile over at the Wycoff family, purchase a farmland at the Mexican border. Which later on are murdered by the Comanches. The whole family ends up dieing (even the puppy) besides the wife, who was badly wounded. She is then carried by Nate their slave, to Buckley in Victoria, to get some help. This where Nate warns the people of the town, of the attack. The town rulers then release Hays and Bigfoot, which were held prisoners at Buckley, to help defend the town and to help when the Comanches come to attack. General Houston holes up in a brothel in New Orleans. When he is greeted by Thomas Rusk and Doc Ewing, and is encouraged to take a pivotal role by them. He wants to take this role later on in the future and take the rule of the newly independent territory of Texas. Meanwhile, the Texas Rangers end up back in Victoria to celebrate their victory of defeating the Mexican/Mexico. This is shortly lived because they then decide to go and rescue Emily from Colonel Portilla’s little hideout. Finally, Bigfoot and Hays are sworn into the Texas Ranging Company. They must also fight the Comanches, who plan on attacking the Texan immigrants. Meanwhile, Santa Anna is being held prisoner at a plantation. So, General Houston makes a promise to take Santa Anna to meet President Jackson to discuss over a peace treaty at the White House in Washington D.C. The Texas Rangers are then attacked by the Comanches and during the fight, Billy Anderson's son gets killed. Later on, Juan Seguin, with his troops gather at The Alamo to sit their and pay their respects for those who died there and to bury a box of ashes of the slain in tribute to them.
