Texas political culture consists of a mixture of the individualistic and traditionalistic political culture. Meaning that Texas citizens fight to better themselves, and believe in democracy. Professor Kim stated that Texas is a solid red state, which means that Texas automatically falls into a conservatism political ideology. The policy of no taxation on income is well supported in Texas by those who own big businesses and not supported by the poor. Business owners will ultimately support the policy that does not tax their income. It is to their benefit because otherwise they would be giving away money for every dollar earned. The other part of society does not support it as much because they still get taxed but earn less than the rich. The rich are not affected as much by the state taxes because they earn large amounts of money, but the poor don’t earn as much and get taxed the same amount or even more in some situations. The consequence of no income taxation is that business owners take over societies economy and that leads to political activity by the rich in majority of the cases. The reason Texas is a Solid republican states is because rich people are the ones who control everything and the poor don’t get much saying when it comes to politics. My prediction on how likely this policy is to change, is very minimum. With the political culture established in Texas, the poor will never get a saying in
