Texas the Lone Star State is a state that is bigger than California, New York and Maine combined. Texas is one of the most diverse states. It includes many different environments such as coastline to the deserts of west Texas, to the wide-open space of the panhandle. Texas is a state that is sought after for its fishing and hunting opportunities. Who enforces the laws for hunting and fishing of Texas? A department of men and women who are as tough as Texas itself theses brave men and women are known as Texas game wardens although A Texas game warden is known as a conservation officer or a fish and game officer. A Texas game warden’s main job is to protect the natural resources of Texas and protect the wildlife and it citizens of Texas while enforcing …show more content…
Due to the advance training required for the game wardens they have their own training facility that opened in 2005. Texas game wardens are known throughout the nation for having one of the most outstanding departments. To join one of the most outstanding departments in the nation you must meet the requirements. The education and application requirements are the applicant must be 21 years old on or before the date of entry into game warden training must be a us citizen have a valid driver’s license, have no class A or felony convictions, have not had a commissioned peace officers license denied and must pass a back ground check. There are eight steps in the application process step one the application step two physical readiness test step three the interview only cadets who past the previous test advance next is step four only the top cadets advance to this step, step five is major review step six colonel Lt. colonel and HR director review step seven is the conditional job offer step eight is the final step to the application it is the letter of innovation to the game warden
