Texas Bathtub Essay

The title of the blog could not possibly explain how this adventures took place and turned out. I can recall how many times the name Devils bathtub came out of my mouth, which was not too often. After doing a little like research and when I say research I mean a quick google search for images of the place I was hook into seeing the place with my own eyes. Little did I know that this trail was 6 hours away from Richmond. Yes, this was basically like taking a trip to New York to see the city, but instead myself and a few friends went to go see this bathtub.

Hopefully the map above will give you an idea of where the place was located, but also I would like to mention that we ended up driving through Tennessee. Yes, I said Tennessee and I would shock when I woke up in Tennessee to grab some food before we would arrive at our destination. This was apart of the directions that the GPS provided us

When we turned on the road that would take up to the start of the trail we lost cellular service, which I then told me friends that we all had to remember how we arrived here so we would find our way out if needed. As we approached the start of the trail there was a sign that included the rules and information we need to know before starting the trail. The sign was not too pleasing as it had a large skull with cross bones, but the contents of the sign were very useful and straight forward.

We started walking the trail and ran into plenty of nice scene that I had to capture with my camera. It started to rain, which we expected to happen, but it was not helping as the rocks had become very slippery. After crossing 12 creeks we arrived to the Devils Bathtub. I could not believe that this was naturally made and that one could find something like this on Earth. It found it to be even better because we decided to come here just in the start of Fall, which I believe made a big

In contrast to the Greek’s wealth of myths but lack of evidence, in Anasazi communities in the American Southwest during the twelfth century CE there is direct evidence of cannibalism, but no myths containing the subject. This may be due to quickly evolving environments and situations as well as possibly feelings of fear associated with these changes. The Ute Lands Archaeological Project excavated three residential pithouses (features 3, 13, and 15) from Cowboy Wash in the Mesa Verde Region from 1992-1998, finding the disarticulated remains of at minimum seven individuals between the three features. In feature three, a minimum of five individuals were discovered, differing in sex and age, containing both an eleven-year-old as well as an old…

There are many places I hold dear to my heart such as traveling to the mountains, visiting my grandma or going down to the Russian River and swimming in the freezing green river. But one particular place that stands out in my memory is Mount Shastina. We have gone to Mount Shastina during times of snow and during times of intense heat, which has exposed me to different activities that depend upon the climate. I have been going there, to McCloud, which is North of Mt. Shasta, with my family for as long as I can remember. In the center of a desert lies our rustic cabin with 3 bedrooms and a nice fireplace to keep us warm.…

On Sunday the 18th of September I was terminated from Texas Road House. Although the managers may have said their part of the story, I believe my explanation of the event has yet to be heard. Here is what happened in my perspective: I picked up and carried a “follow” tray of food to 114, a table that belonged to Alexis B. As I reached the table she can acknowledged that I was waiting for her to finish and I waited so that the rest of the food could be distributed. I noticed that the tray she had on the Tray Jack that once carried the first round of food had now been cluttered with emptied bowls and glasses to make room for the entrees.…

My friend and I were leaving the National Park walking a main trail. On our left was a steep grade with exposed rocks. On our right was a small creek and then beyond the creek a steep slope covered in heavy vegetation. I was closest to the creek with my friend walking beside me on my left. My friend had a Digital Voice Recorder (DVR) that was recording and I had my back trail camera recording.…

About the time we were feeling our saddle sores from dealing with a particularly rough and narrow segment of the trail, our troop became stretched out more than usual. I recognized it, and debated whether to call for a rest stop or let things go because of my plan to confront the wayward Raiders. By peeking at my PDA, I could see we’d made reasonable progress. For now, I felt happy. I made my decision and clipped my tablet back on my belt, while the trail switched back on itself, opening up a much wider and pleasant stretch of trail.…

When I was about 3 years old, I can remember my Grandparents lake house in Houston, Texas. My parents and I lived there until my grandparents moved into the country 2 hours outside Houston. Before moving, I can remember my mother taking me out to the lake to feed the ducks and always telling me I can’t swim in the lake because it’s too dirty. I remember going into the kitchen to get juice and spilled it everywhere and was found cleaning my mess while cursing because I thought saying “Shit” and “God Damnit” would magically clean the mess. I would grab a stick of butter and sit 3 inches from the television while watching the Teletubbies.…
