Texas A & M Personal Statement

Engineers have been the driving force of innovation, research, and creation. By applying mathematical and scientific concepts to real world applications, engineers can create anything they set their minds to. I want to study chemical engineering at Texas A&M because this school is one of the most prestigious, world-renowned universities which can offer me a valuable education in the field of chemical engineering. By obtaining a degree from Texas A&M, I will have the capability to become a knowledgeable engineer and to truly make an impact. I see myself using the knowledge and experiences that I obtained from Texas A&M to solve problems that I will encounter in my professional and personal life. Math and science have always fascinated me, and a career in the field of engineering encompasses both of these core elements. As the future of energy and the demand for various resources fluctuates across the globe, I hope to be involved with a company that will be instrumental in the procurement of natural resources. In addition, I will use the abilities and knowledge that were developed by my experiences at Texas A&M to advance my career and the assignments I am tasked with. Because of the competitive job market and the limited amount of positions open for engineers, a valuable degree from Texas A&M will set me apart from many others and ensure I am in the best position for my future. As my career advances, I would seek a management role in engineering and return to Texas A&M to complete a Master’s degree.
