A few of those ways were keeping a positive attitude, spending less time worrying,
making more time for important relationships, do the things they enjoyed, and being
more outgoing. The subjects of the experiment mostly had an increase in happiness after

I could start out by having a more positive attitude. I have a tendency to have a
negative outlook on things. I always try to find the negative in a situation before the

For example, I really enjoy playing tennis so if I take a little time out of my
week to go to the courts and hit for a little while my happiness will be improved because
I get to do what I enjoy. If I could not make it to play tennis I could always watch my
favorite movie or favorite television show. As long as I make time to do the things I
enjoy and the things that make me happy I will be a happier person over all.
One more way I could increase my happiness is by being more outgoing and
social. I have always been a quiet shy person. It does not necessarily stand in the way of
my happiness, but it could decrease it or prevent me from being as happy as I could be.
So instead of being scared to say hello to the person that sits next to me in class I could
talk to them and potentially become friends with them. Instead of being to scared or
nervous to raise my hand and answer questions in class I could start participating and
even improve my entire outlook on class. By doing something as easy as speaking up and
being friendly I can improve my happiness and my college experience.
