“I swear I am adopted” I said to my friend Tess, laughing, almost spilling my orange juice. “Baliegh you are not adopted oh my gosh we have been over this”. Tess couldn’t stop laughing. This is a joke me and Tess have joked about since we were little. I have always said I was adopted because if you look at me and compare my looks to my parents and brother, we look nothing alike. I have dark brown hair, bright green eyes, and very pale skin. Both my parents and my brother have bleach blonde hair, baby blue eyes, and more of a peach tan skin. “Whatever you say Tess. So, are we still on for saturday?’ “Yeah we are all still meeting at the theatre around 7 if that’s cool?” Tess collected all her books and stood up from the table. “Alright I’ll …show more content…
Bay had a lot of work to get done so she tried to rush their conversation without it coming across that way. She ran up the stairs to whatever she had left of her little room. Bay’s house was actually pretty big but the rooms were tiny. She flopped down onto her miniature bed that hardly fit her anymore. The 5 foot 4 inch 18 year old still felt like a child laying in that bed. She pulled out her laptop and began to type. After a couple hours of writing, the sun started to set and Baliegh’s eyes became more and more drowsy. Soon, the computer screen was closed and her eyes fell shut. Baleigh awoke to the sound of an alarm. The weekend is all fun and games when you are a little kid but adults get to work. Baleigh sat up, still in her clothes from the previous night, and stretched. She is currently in college working to be a higher doctor but this is her start. She pretty much just follows nurses around all day, watches what they do, and does whatever they say. Not that

Hi Rudin, Thanks for letting me know of your upcoming run-through. No I'm not sick and tired at all, I am excited for you (tired maybe lol). If I would live closer I wouldn't have to think about it at all, even with the Rose Bowl on at the same time. I am not surprised the maestro would not like to have anybody at the rehearsal, I was actually thinking of asking for myself, but I dismissed the thought for that reason, remember in London they didn't like it either. Thanks for willing to Skype, but under the circumstances, I will go to the Rose Bowl.…

“Ginger” and “little red” and “copper head” and the ever so famous “carrot top” were just a few of many nicknames that once taunted my childhood. It seemed to be that I did not have a name, but rather I was just “the redhead.” Always sticking out like a sore thumb, I was surrounded by a family of dark brown hair and undoubtedly seemed to be the only child in the class with the uncommon genes of fiery red hair, a galaxy of freckles that covered my body, and the fairest of skin that would burn at the slightest of interaction with the sun. As a result of the little resemblance I share with my family, people often mistaken me for someone else’s child or demanded an explanation.…
