Terry Schavio: Ethical Dilemmas

My primary focus in regards to the Terry Schavio and what would constitute the most ethical dilemma/issue confronting the ethics committee would be the religious implications. The individual was Jewish and Jewish law would be a critical element for the discussion at hand. From my personal perspective it would involve a somewhat understanding of the Torah (first part of the Jewish Bible) and any reference to advanced directives or a living will.
Additionally, another vital element would be the various conflicts of interest that would arose from her husband being her surrogate with regards to, is he truly interested in Terry Schavio’s overall best interest? Were her parents correct in wanting to pro-long life?
