Soon after arriving, Terry heard an alarm sound informing them they had an incoming trauma. He finished some paperwork before heading down to see what the alarm was about. He had skin blown off of his face, was profusely bleeding, lost 3 fingers, and was unconscious when he arrived. He was so badly injured he couldn’t be identified, which is where the reference John Doe came about. Also, you could visibly see his cheekbones, and his teeth were terribly broken with many missing, and his skull was cracked. As he was given no personal information about this man, Terry prepared him how he would any other patient except for asking for family’s wishes. He was in surgery for 3 hours, but had made little progress on this man's likelihood for survival. At this point, he was in critical condition and needed constant supervision. While checking his vitals, one of the nurses happened to turn the TV on to the local station. The station was giving out all the information they could at that point, this bombing wasn’t an accident it was a terrorist attack and it would of been a lot worse if it hadn’t of been for the man who risked his life to save others. This man, at this point still unidentified, heard the first nuclear bomb go off and saw them drop the second. He jumped on top of the bomb covering the entire thing with his body, taking most of the blow himself. At the time, the only information they had was that he was currently being treated at the local hospital and was in critical condition. There were 46 other injured/killed.
