Many terror groups, whether Islamists or Marxists, nationalists or separatists, or even racists and anarchists have widely endorsed the use of internet to further their ideologies, raise funds, and in the recruitment of new members- both active jihadists and passive supporters (Weimann, 2014). According to Ressler (2006), most terror groups prefer internet because of several reasons, which include easy access, little censorship, fast flow of information, anonymous communication, and it can reach diverse audiences globally.
