15 Years ago now on September 11, 2001 at 08:46 EST the United States and the world was forever changed. After these attacks the world would see an increase in Security, surveillance, and military action. Terrorism is now the most talked about problem in society today, terrorist acts cause political, economic, and social problems for the area or country that these extremist groups attack or target. Terrorist events have major effects on society such as economic, political and social problems in society according to the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security states that

Al Qaeda has a lengthy history of attacks from their first attack on December of 1992 where set off a bomb at the Gold Mohur hotel in Aden, Yemen, this attack did not kill any Americans but did however kill two Australian tourists. They also detonated a van filled with explosives in the basement of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing six people and wounding 1,000. They also claimed responsibility to the high jacking of 4 airliners too crash into the World Trade Centers, the pentagon, and the last plane to not make it to its intended target was headed for the White House. (National) There were many more attacks, killing more innocent people and causing more destruction. ISIS has also committed some brutal attacks on society from the attacks in Paris, France, the attacks in San Bernardino, California, and the attacks in Orlando, Florida. The two attacks in the US that were mentioned may not have been orchestrated by ISIS but were inspired by ISIS. However, the most horrible difference between Al Qaeda and ISIS is their propaganda, ISIS has constantly executed people on video for the whole world to see, from beheadings, burning people alive, to running someone over with a tank.
