Terracotta is made out of natural clay and can be sculptured into different shape and size. it can be glazed either to color it or to make it more durable. It is waterproof and can remain intact for a very long time. Most of the collections in this gallery are very old sculptures. The vase with the animal mask is a very ancient sculpture; it is dated 206 BC–220 AD and it is still in perfect shape.
