Since then, they have refused to give up their newly found power. After taking control of the government, they implemented strict laws that if disobeyed, usually would lead straight to death. They are a branch of the Al-Qaida group and the leaders name is Abu Bakr (although there may be other leaders that we are not aware of). Because the group has a strong belief for Islam, they have stated that anyone not of Islamic religion, is to convert or be punished accordingly. The punishment is usually death, but if the offender is female, they are sold off as sex slaves in most cases.
