Have Termites? Know How To Get Rid Of Them

While termites can be a huge problem for a homeowner, dealing with them at the first sign of infestation can prevent those problems form occurring. Termites are known for eating wood, but the way that they actually consume wood is much different than how you may think they do it. Termites don’t use acid for breaking down the wood. Instead, they utilize a special bacteria that breaks down wood cellulose. After the bacteria has done its job, all the wood it was exposed to becomes decomposed, which allows termites to eat the wood. It’s a process that can cause a lot of damage and turn into an expensive repair. Get rid of the termites using one of these three methods to prevent it from happening.
