Teresa In The Maze Runner

In most books, it is easy to find an obvious antagonist with clearly evil motives and characteristics. A rarer situation occurs, however, when that antagonist is hidden within the protagonist’s trusted circle of friends. Such is the case with The Maze Runner
Series’ Teresa. This character is both loved and hated within the book’s fandom, for she is a difficult figure. The love one develops for her as a friend is then exchanged for an equal feeling of hate at the end of the series. Teresa is a loathsome character because of her facade of love and devotion to the protagonist, and her flawless ability to deceive and betray her only friends.
